The Collaborative Road Show is presentation that was created by members of the D.C. Academy of Collaborative Practitioners for educating people on collaborative practice as a method of dispute resolution. The Road Show is a great tool for educating groups about the benefits of collaborative divorce, whether they are end users of the service, or other groups of professionals interested in learning more about the collaborative process. The Road Show consists of a short video message from a Family Court Judge warning divorcing couples of the limitations of litigation to resolve family law disputes, a power point presentation for presenting collaborative practice as an alternative to litigation for couples going through divorce, and a Speaker’s Script that gives the presenter a slide-by-slide script to accompany the Power Point presentation. The Road Show may be used by practice groups and collaborative professionals, regardless of discipline for presentations to groups of potential clients or to other professionals interested in learning more about the process.
